I wish a happy new year of the Rabbit to all readers of this blog. All my best wishes for the year 2011.
It started for me with a sencha Shizuoka, a product a little unusual, again out of Mr. Akiyama (see here or there ). Grown at the foot of Mount Fuji, I hope that its teas will make all the pomp associated with this mystical mountain.
For the 1st year, I chose a cultivar sencha Inzatsu 131 (印 雑 131). Unknown father, born of this variety is a cultivar from Assam called Manipuri 5. This tea is dominated by a sweet fragrance composed of notes of cherry blossom, almond, but mostly a sweet fragrance reminiscent of lily of the valley. This tea rather astringent, but not so unpleasant, as the flavor is dominated by the unique flavor of this tea.
Finally, I note the wonderful work sheets, proof once again of the great expertise of Mr. Akiyama.
